AS AN EMPLOYEE :
If you intend to work in France then it depends on the duration of the work. Based on the duration the visas are issued.
French Salaried Employees Visa:
This type of visa is for people who intend to stay in France for up to 1 year. One must present the work contract duly endorsed by the Director or the Company Head.
For Creating and running Businesses in France:
A French work visa for creating and running a business requires you to submit proof that you are financially fit to run a business in France.
Professionals & Independent workers:
Other professional and independent workers need authorization from the relevant professional body.
Humanitarian/Volunteer works:
If you wish to stay for more than a year to do volunteer work, humanitarian work in France, the visa process is to be done through a French foundation / association recognized by French authorities as a charity concern.
French International Organization work:
This type of visa is for people taking official assignments in France with International organizations.
AS A TOURIST :
As a TOURIST, the documents to be presented on arrival in France,
Valid passport
Valid visa
Proof of Accommodation – hotel stay reservation/certificate of staying with relative
Sufficient Financial means
Return ticket
Insurance certificate covering all medical expenses and in case of death
If you intend a long stay visa with the obligation to apply for a residence permit, you must complete this process within 2 months of arrival.
